Making COVERS yours
Everything on this demo is fictional: Late August, Rye, Mara Venn, the team, the address, phone, email, menu, prices and every Journal story. Replace all of it before you publish.
1. Replace the restaurant identity: the wordmark, navigation, footers and page titles.
2. Replace the chef and team in the Briefing section and on the Chef page.
3. Replace contact details: address, telephone and email in Last Cover and on Reserve.
4. Replace opening hours and the reservation policy copy.
5. Update the dishes: the menu lives in TWO native places, the homepage Menu section and the Menu page. Update both. There is no Courses CMS collection in this template.
6. Update Private Dining: capacity, particulars, pricing and its photograph.
7. Update the Journal. The Journal index and its three article pages are native, editable pages; the Journal CMS collection mirrors the same three entries. To add a note: duplicate an article page, write it, add a card on the Journal index and link it, then add a matching CMS entry if you keep the collection. To remove a note: delete its card, its page and its CMS entry. The index cards, article pages and CMS entries must stay in sync.
8. Replace every photograph, and give each image real alt text.
9. Configure the reservation form: set your destination on the FX Motion layer (Form endpoint) or replace it with Framer’s own form backend. Until then the form clearly tells visitors no reservation was sent. Test a real submission before launch, and remember your endpoint copies to buyers of your own remixes.
10. Configure metadata and sharing in Site Settings: site name, favicon, social image, and per-page titles and descriptions.
11. Preserve the colour clock: the homepage backgrounds darken in order from afternoon to last cover. Keep each step darker than the one before, never pure black or white, and keep brass in its lane: hairlines from The Menu, brass type from The Pass, one brass button at Last Cover.
12. Edit or disable motion: select the FX Motion layer and use its toggles, or delete it. All content stays visible without it, and reduced-motion visitors always get the static version.
13. Test every route on phone, tablet and desktop on the PUBLISHED site before launch.
14. Delete this Guide page (and the Privacy and Terms placeholders if you have your own).
15 · The brass BUY THIS TEMPLATE button in the bottom-left corner is not part of the template. It only appears on our demo site, so it will not show on yours and there is nothing to delete. If you ever do see it on your own domain, remove the FX — Motion layer from that page and tell us.
